Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Then she became a morning reporter and anchor at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach to DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
