As we enter summer 2021, there is some uncertainty about the way Rotary can continue to facilitate the connections between people that Rotary members have valued previously. It is clear, however that the hand-to-face tradition is going to remain part of our routine. Rotary is evolving. It is still unclear how the service we provide to others can be incorporated into the highly coveted connections between people which Rotary members enjoyed in the earlier times. Although the phrase "hands-in-space" will always be a part of our daily routine but it's clear that the confidence of our members is increasing and there are more face-toface interactions. Rotary has changed. The Rotary network helps build bonds which last. The Pandemic was the catalyst for us to adopt technological advances. Our methods have been refined to maintain online meetings in our workplaces, as well as introducing social and service activities through a face-toface format. The new possibilities are paired with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies to create a new and exciting future for Rotary. It's thrilling to witness the way our members have developed innovative solutions for some of the most difficult issues. I'm grateful to be a part of the team. Rotary along with many others has given me a solid network of people who are committed to my ideals and from whom I have developed genuine relationships throughout the past twenty years.
